Reader, Today is the last day to join us for the October Strong Women, Strong Bones Jumpstart, and I wanted to reach out one more time — personally. Right before I turned 50, I discovered my vitamin D levels were well below normal. It stopped me cold. I was a physical therapist with a Master's degree and a Doctorate, and I still had a lot to learn about what my own bones needed. That experience changed how I practice and what I teach. If I had gaps in my knowledge, I knew other women might be struggling with the same questions. Here's what I know after years of working with women on bone health: Walking is wonderful, but it may not be enough on its own. That's the gap this program fills. Over four weeks, starting Monday, October 26, we'll work together on: ✅ Strength training to build muscle and challenge your bones ✅ Yoga-Inspired Movement to work on balance and flexibility ✅ 16 live, 35-minute classes - manageable, consistent, and designed for women with osteopenia and osteoporosis ✅ Recordings of every class so you can catch up when life gets busy ✅ My coaching and guidance so you can ask questions and feel more confident about your exercise routine You don't need to be an experienced weightlifter or yoga student. I'll guide you through the basics and help you build a routine you can keep going with, either with me or on your own. Your investment is $298 for all four weeks. You'll get live coaching from a physical therapist, a structured exercise plan, class recordings, and support along the way — all in one place, so you're not left trying to piece together advice and figure it out on your own. Registration closes TONIGHT at 8 p.m. Eastern. We start Monday, and we don't have another Jumpstart planned. YES! SAVE MY SPOT IN THE OCTOBER JUMPSTART I created this program because I don't want women to feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice or left to figure everything out on their own. I'd love to have you with us. Here's to strong bones, great balance, and an active life for years to come, Andrea Trombley PT, DPT P.S. Have a question before you decide? Just hit reply. I'll answer personally. Registration closes tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Hi Reader, If you've been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis, there's a good chance you've also heard the name alendronate, aka Fosamax. It's the most commonly prescribed bisphosphonate—and if your doctor has recommended it, you may have questions about how it works, what it's actually doing to your bones, and why you're taking it once a week. So let's talk about it. Alendronate: the basics Alendronate, brand name Fosamax, is an oral bisphosphonate that you take once a week....
Reader, I was recently invited to join a panel for Women Rising, an event happening here in Burlington next month. I'll be sharing the stage with two Nurse Practitioners I just met, and during our planning session, we quickly realized that the 45 minutes we have will be nowhere near enough time to say everything we'd like to say. So we're going to have to get laser-focused and skip the fluff. As I was talking with them, one message kept coming up for me: Know your bones. More specifically,...
